"Good Times" star Ben Powers recently passed away at the age of 64.
The actor, who was best known for playing the role of football player Keith Anderson on the CBS hit died earlier this month in New Bedford.
As of late, no other details about his passing were disclosed, according to the Huffington Post.
"Good Times" chronicled the life of a black family living in inner-city Chicago. On the show, Powers as Keith Anderson played the character of Thelma Evans' (Bern Nadette Stanis) husband.
The series that ran for six seasons featured Powers in a total of 23 episodes. "Good Times" also featured Janet Jackson as Penny, Ralph Carter as Michael Evans, Ja'net DuBois as Willona and Jimmie Walker as J.J, US Weekly reported.
Powers also appeared in the 1980 CBS show, "Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer" alongside Stacey Keach. He also had guest-starring roles on "Gimmie a Break," "The Greatest American Hero," "Laverne & Shirley," "Flamingo Road" and "The New Odd Couple."
The actor was also no stranger to portraying roles on the big screen. He starred in "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie," "The Man Who Loved Women" and "Things Are Tough All Over."
Stanis released an official statement following her former on-screen partner's demise via her Facebook page.
"My condolences goes out to the family of Ben Powers who past a few days ago. He was a great actor and great friend who is gone too soon. He will be missed by many. Until next lifetime my friend," she wrote.
