Warner Bros. has just confirmed the release dates of two of its upcoming films under the "Lego Movie" animated franchise.

The production company's untitled "Lego Batman Movie" will be released on Feb. 10, 2017, a few months ahead of its previously announced release which was on May 2017.

"The Lego Movie Sequel," the follow up to the widely popular "The Lego Movie," released in 2014, will hit theaters on May 18, 2018.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. "Ninjango" has been bumped off from its release this coming 2016 and has now been moved to Sept. 22, 2017.

"The Lego Movie," has become a widely popular franchise for Warner Bros. since the first installment in 2014 reportedly grossed more than $468 million across the globe.

The film also received positive reviews from various publications and critics, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Chris Miller and Phil Lord will return to the franchise to write the script for "The Lego Movie Sequel." They will also serve as producers on all three films, Lego Batman, Nijango and "The Lego Movie Sequel," which will be directed by Chris McKay.

On Monday, Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution, Dan Fellman, released a statement following the announcement.

"These three films already in the pipeline are just the beginning of a creative and diverse animation slate that will be delighting audiences for years to come," he said.

As of late, "The Lego Movie Sequel" will only be competing against Fox's romantic drama, "The Mountain Between Us," which will also be released in Feb 2017.

The film will star Charlie Hunnam and Rosamund Pike, The Hollywood Reporter noted.
