Bruce Jenner: The Interview

The last minute countdown has begun for the much awaited and anticipated interview of Bruce Jenner by Diane Sawyer. The two-hour long episode of "20/20" will be aired on April 24, Friday night on ABC.

The former Olympic medallist is expected to open up and tell the truth about his much rumoured gender transition. Although it is yet not confirmed, multiple reports claim that the star of the reality show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians,"  is expected to touch on the issue of trangenderism and confront the reports that he is transitioning to a woman,CNN Money reported.

The network has been quite success full in stoking interest among viewers by airing short teasers of the show for the past 10 days. Apart from the mini trailers, ABC has managed to keep the details of the interview strictly under wraps.

Firstly, the network made sure that no sound bites or clip gets released ahead of the stipulated time which may fulfill the viewer's curiousity. The promos were too short and ambiguous, which triggered rumours but did not confirm anything how the interview will turn out to be.

Secondly, Sawyer or any of the ABC staffer never spoke to outside media about the interview. None of the inside scoop could be leaked out which further helped in maintaining the required suspense around the show, CBS News reported.

Sawyer will be seen promoting "20/20" on Friday by appearing in a series of ABC' specials like "Good Morning America," "Live with Kelly and Michael," "The View," and "World News Tonight." Sawyer just might also reveal who else besides Jenner she interviewed for the special.

Recently, it came in light that  apart from Bruce, some of his family members have also been interviewed by Sawyer. Bruce has six children and four very famous step children who form the notoriously media savvy Kardashian-Jenner clan.

The interview was shot in Feburary, a few days before the 65-year-old got involved in the fatal car crash. The interview was shot in parts; one day in Los Angeles, another in New York. ABC's Jenner interview was anticipated since long time but was not confirmed officially until April 6.
