The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" patriarch Bruce Jenner scored one more historic gold when he openly came out to the world that he was trapped in a woman's body. His Diane Sawyer interview, in which he confessed to the world about his womanly leanings, has opened up a whole new world to the transgenders.

There are 700,000 transgenders in United States and in view of this candid confession they are been seen in a different light.

According to the former Olympics gold medallist, he was "a man trapped inside the heart, soul and brain of a woman."

The confession took a lot of courage and guts. After his historic interview, he has been lauded in some sectors for being 'true to himself', whereas a lot of people have bashed him as well, NY Daily News noted.

His son-in-law rapper Kanye West applauded his courage to come out to the world. His step-daughter Kim Kardashian was not so forthcoming when the news broke out but her husband talked to her and made her understand what being true to one's self actually means.

At the interview what was missing was the family support. Not even one family member of the Kardashian and Jenner clan turned up to support the multi-faceted Olympian in this endeavor, according to The Olympian.

Sawyer asked him numerous tough questions related to his sexual orientation and his numerous marriages. He has been married three times and has six children along with four stepchildren. She asked him that how come he has been married three times to different women, when he himself feels like a women trapped in a man's body.

Jenner answered that he has always been attracted to women and is a heterosexual. He also clarified that he is not gay and has never indulged in gay sex as well.
