"NCIS" Season 12 resumes its run after a brief hiatus with Episode 22. The upcoming segment is titled "Troll" and will bring back some well-loved characters and see new associations. Meanwhile, the team has been assigned a new case of Navy Warfare Engineer's murder. Here are spoilers for "NCIS" Season 12 Episode 22. Read on to find out what happens next and who is returning.

"NCIS" Season 12 Episode 22 will deal with the newest murder mystery and development of new bonds in the team. Fans must brace themselves to find out what happens when Jake and Gibbs become "good friends."  

According to the synopsis (via Spoiler TV) for Episode 22 "Troll," an employee of the Office of the Naval Intelligence has been murdered. To resolve the case, the team seeks assistance of a special agent and cyber operations officer in a case that involves cyber twists.

In the upcoming episode, Matt Jones resumes his role as the Cyber Operations officer Ned Dorneget. Fans will also see the return of NSA Attorney Jake Malloy as portrayed by Jamie Bamber. The promo video (via YouTube.com/TV Box Promos) for Episode 22 suggests the NCIS is working on a top secret case and the related information is kept classified even from the top notch of the organisation.
