Olympic winner Charlie White tied the knot with co-Olympic ice dancer Tanith Belbin in Michigan on April 25 at West Bloomfield's Planterra Conservatory- a place miles away from Detroit rink where they first met a decade and a half ago.
According to People, there were about 130 guests who attended the ceremony, one of them was Meryl Davis, White's ice rink partner. Todd Weishaus, White's brother-in-law, officiated the elegant event.
It was in 2009 that the couple started dating. White proposed to Belbin in May 2014 and was one of the best proposals ever made, according to Brides. While both of them enjoyed their Hawaii engagement, the Olympic champion posted a photo in Instagram with the caption, "Couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting for the best time in our life! Hashtag she said yes!!!"
In the couple's most memorable day, Belbin was in a contemporary wedding dress which had an A-line silhouette, an ombre skirt in the shade of pink and a sweetheart neckline. Her bridesmaids were in different attires as they were bestowed the freedom to choose a gown of their liking. The bridesmaids were Davis and all of White's sisters looked lovely.
The groom wore a traditional tuxedo and slipped a platinum diamond on the bride's fingers as they recited each of their vows. The reception served shrimp cremosi, filet mignon, and a multi-tiered vanilla cake.
White brought home Sochi's gold with the graceful moves of partner Davis with both participating in the "Dancing with the Stars" most recent season. The 26-year-old male champion showed his dance moves with Sharna Burgess while Davis had Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her partner. They won the fifth and first places, respectively.
