Jamie Foxx has been roped in to sing the national anthem at the much-awaited Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight in Las Vegas on May 2, 2015.

According to TMZ, Jamie Foxx was asked if he can sing the national anthem at the match and he readily agreed to be a part of the event.

Jamie Foxx will be seen as Mike Tyson in the latest biopic. The star is a huge boxing enthusiast and also worked as Drew Bundin, Muhammad Ali's close associate in the film "Ali."

Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao revealed that for him it is not about the money but showing who is a better athlete.

"I didn't want 60-40. I did it for the sake of the fans. We know they've been waiting for this fight for five years," Pacquiao told LA Times.

When Pacquiao lost the bouts, Mayweather Jr. did not find him worthy of a fight and mentioned that Pacquiao first had to defeat Marquez.

Pacquiao emerged and defeated Timothy Bradley and Chris Algieri not one but six times.

According to Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum for Pacquiao money is not everything.

"He was willing to sacrifice points to make the fight. Simple as that. He wanted the fight," Arum said.

Meanwhile, coming back to Jamie Foxx, this will not be the first time for him to sing before the start of the bout. He sang "America the Beautiful" in 2011 during the Pacquiao vs. Mosley bout.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will face Manny Pacquiao on May 2, 2015 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
