After the much awaited Diane Sawyer interview of Bruce Jenner created ripples across the world, it is now confirmed that the former Olympian will feature in a docu-series to depict his journey of transition from male to female. The eight part and one hour series will air on E! from July 26.

Jenner will carry his own show and will also be its executive producer. The network has been the epicenter of hit reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Despite the fact that the former Olympian divorced the momanager Kris Jenner last year, he is still seen as the family's patriarch in the show.

The docu-series is yet not titled. The show will reportedly cover the transformation and its effects on different people in the athlete's life.

"This series will present an unfiltered look as Bruce boldly steps into uncharted territory and is true to himself for the first time," declared Jeff Olde, who is the executive vice president E!.

The series is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions. The company has documented LGBT stories for more than 20 years.

After almost a year of speculations and unconfirmed reports, Jenner disclosed his gender identity for the first time during the ABC show and went public with the fact that he is a transgender. Since Jenner had worked as a motivational speaker in the past, it is highly expected that the 65-year-old will play a pivotal role in the shaping of the transgender community, CNN reported.

The docu-series will probably also uncover the relationship of Jenner with his ex-wife, Kris Jenner and his children. While Kim Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner has openly showed their love and support for their father, several unconfirmed reports state that Khloe Kardashian is finding it difficult to accept the reality.
