After the fight between Captain America and the Winter Soldier in "Captain America: The Winder Soldier, "Captain America: Civil War" discloses Daniel Bruhl as one of its antagonists.
"Inglourious Basterds" actor Bruhl is the newest villain to Captain America, as per Cinema Blend. It is reported that Bruhl is going to play the villain Baron Zemo in the upcoming film.
There are two Zemos in the story of Captain America. The first is the Nazi scientist Heinrich Zemo, who Captain America fights during the Second World War. The second Zemo is Helmut Zemo, the son of Heinrich. Helmut plots revenge on Captain America as he follows his father's footsteps. It is reported that Bruhl will play the role of the younger Zemo.
Helmut is an interesting character as per Cinema Blend. He displays ambiguity as a villain, presenting a blend of a good guy and a bad guy. He exhibits such neutrality in the comics when he recruited villains for the pro-registration side and when he helped Captain America get out from custody.
Given Heltmut's roles in the comics, it is still unknown at this point how he will contribute to the existence of the "Civil War."
Bruhl confirmed his role in Independent. The actor said that he can tell it without being "thrown into Marvel prison." He added that it is a large project, with a budget that can do 20 films.
Aside from his role in the upcoming film, Bruhl is set to appear in "Adam Jones," "Ich und Kaminski," "Colonia," and "Alone in Berlin."
"Captain America: Civil War" centers on the division of the superheroes secondary to the Superhero Registration Act. Captain America is not in favor of the legislation, which Iron Man supports the act.
Along with Bruhl, the film stars Frank Grillo, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy renner, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Evans.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to premiere on May 6, 2016.
