Sesame Street's “Aveggies: Age of Bon Bon”

Is the release of "Age of Ultron" still a lifetime away? To celebrate the premiere of the Marvel movie, Sesame Street has spoofed the superhero film. "Aveggies: Age of Bon Bon" teaches kids about healthy diets and how to focus.

In the spoof, the villain Bon Bon tries to transform all vegetables in the world, into desserts. The Aveggies are led by Captain Americauliflower.

The food puns do not end with the squad's leader. Onion Man spoofs Iron Man, and Zucchin-eye is a pun for Hawkeye, according to Slate.

Even the rating of the five-minute clip is a parody of the new Avengers film. The Sesame Street version is rated "F" for "Focus."

Only a huge Cookie Monster-like Incredible Hulk can stop the villain's spaceship. It resembles a chocolate chip cookie, according to Rolling Stone.

The problem is that Dr. Brownie (Cookie Monster) has to stay focused and avoid eating Mighty Corn's hammer and Captain Americauliflower's shield. Luckily Black Bean Window is there to help keep Dr. Brownie on track.

There are even some Avengers jokes peppered in the video, which parents will enjoy. Youngsters might not get the implied meanings.

For example, in the Avengers spoof Cookie Monster shares that his secret is he is "always hungry." It is a spin on Bruce Banner's Avengers joke that his secret is being "always angry."

There is even a reference to the post-credit scene from Avengers. Cookie Monster suggests that the superhero crew eat some shawarma after fighting baddies.

Sesame Street had done several other spoofs in the past. They include "Game of Chairs," "Sons of Poetry," and "Desperate Houseplants."
