Entertainment news publication TV Fanatic is speculating that the episode might see the return of Sandra Oh's Cristina, who is Meredith's best friend, and Kate Walsh's Addison Montgomery, who is Derek's first wife. However, there is no official confirmation about the return of these characters from the showmakers.
