Google Nexus 5 2015 release date may take place at the company's annual I/O event in July as the new Nexus smartphone is reportedly in the works.

There is a possibility that Google will make an earlier announcement of its new Nexus handset at its annual developers' conference. One of the clues dropped by Google itself is in the video of its new Project Fi, which is its new wireless service. At the aforementioned event, Google will unveil a new version of its Android operating system this year, including the Project Fi. The tech giant may also announce its new device and its specs and features.

According to International Business Times, Google Nexus 5 2015 features are similar to that of LG G4 since South Korean-based LG Electronics will take the helm in making the new Nexus smartphone. Some of the rumored Google Nexus 5 2015 specs and features based on what were seen in the new LG G4. According to GSM Arena, the LG G4 packs 5.5 inches screen display with quad HD (1440 x 2560) pixel resolution and 32 GB internal storage and a microSD slot of up to 128 GB as well as 16 MP at the back and 8 MP selfie camera and 3000 mAh battery juice.

However, Google has not announced the official release date of the rumored Google Nexus 5 2015 and which mobile manufacturer will be in-charged of making the smartphone. Aside from LG, reports claimed that Google will also work with Huawei and Motorola. Various reports stated that Motorola will redeem itself after the low sales of the Nexus 6 smartphone.
