Microsoft Windows 10

Just a few days after Microsoft officially released Windows 10 build 10122, screenshots of rumored Windows 10 build 10125 started to surface on several tech websites. The new build contains bug fix, new icons and the new Windows Hello feature.

According to Softpedia, Windows 10 build 10125 does not contain any additional features. On this build, Microsoft focused more on fixing user reported bugs as well as improving the builds performance.

Microsoft head of Windows Insider Program Gabe Aul said that subsequent Windows 10 build after the 10122 will focus mainly on fixing bugs. This is to ensure that the final Windows 10 build that will be released for mass consumption will be totally bug-free. Aul added that as the official release of Windows 10 draw closer, the company will focus more on polishing touches rather than bulking up with new features.

Official release notes from Microsoft confirmed that the 10125 build will update Photos, Solitaire, OneDrive and the Alarms & Clock app. Microsoft Edge, the upcoming replacement of Internet Explorer, also received several tweaks. The browser still uses its codename, Project Spartan, based on the leaked screenshots.

Other changes featured in Windows 10 build 10125 are update icons for folder and drives and the File Explorer icon in the task bar. According to Neowin, when downloading a file from the Internet, the new File Explorer icon fills up vertically instead of horizontally.

Windows Hello also made its debut on Windows 10 build 10125. Microsoft added Windows Hello as an added layer of security for the Windows 10 operating system. Windows Hello is a biometric authentication protocol that uses facial features instead of typing passwords in order to gain access to an account.

The Windows Hello feature uses a special infrared hardware in order to verify the user's facial feature when logging in.
