"Divergent" star Theo James recently hinted on the possible direction and storyline of the upcoming "Allegiant-Part 1" movie. According to the actor, the first part of "Allegiant" will be similar to Veronica Roth's novel.
Also according to James, the "Allegiant" movie will be split into two parts because Roth's novel is extremely long and contains a lot of important scenes that film directors could not just cut.
James is happy with Lionsgate's decision to split the film in two because this way, they will have a much longer time to tell the story of the book in two parts.
In an attempt to please their millions of fans across the world, James revealed that "Allegiant" creators are aiming for consistency especially when it comes to the structure of the upcoming installment.
According to Master Herald, several key elements from Roth's novel will also be implemented as close to the book as possible. This will include not only the storyline but also the design, setting, costumes and more.
Meanwhile, there have also been reports that James and his co-star Shailene Woodley are currently tied up with their busy production schedules.
According to IBTimes, "Allegiant-Part 1" will kick off from where "Insurgent" left off. The third installment will continue to chronicle the lives of Tris and Four and their attempts at escaping the wall that surrounds Chicago.
However, their journey would not be easy as Tris and Four will continue to face their enemies.
"Allegiant-Part 1" is directed by Robert Schewntke and is produced by Lucy Fisher, Douglas Wick and Pouya Shahbazian under Lionsgate.
"Allegiant-Part 1" is slated for release in the United States next year.
