Caitlyn Jenner, Former Bruce Jenner, Made Her Public Debut On The Cover Of Vanity Fair

Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner, has created a new record on Twitter by gaining 1 million followers in less than five hours, after the former Olympian and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" patriarch debut as a woman on the cover of Vanity Fair.

"I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn," wrote the former decathlon champion as the first tweet from the new account.

Soon after, Guinness World Records declared the new Twitter account as the fastest account to reach 1 million followers in record time of four hours and three minutes. The hashtag #CallMeCaitlyn, launched by Vanity Fair, remained a trending topic on the social media with various celebrities, Hollywood A-listers as well as her own family members, including Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, poured in their wishes and positive messages, The Guardian reported.

"It takes courage to share your story," tweeted U.S. President Barack Obama, who earlier had the record of gaining 1 million followers in five hours when he launched the official POTUS account last month.

Jenner's much talked about sex transition is now reportedly complete and he will be now referred to as "Caitlyn".

The 65-year-old declared the same to the world by appearing on the cover of Vanity Fair as a woman with a headline, "Call Me Caitlyn." The portrait was shot by popular celeb photographer, Annie Leibovitz. Wearing a cream-colored silk corset, Jenner has declared to the world that transition from male to female was a liberating phase and she now feels free.

The 22-page article in the magazine reveals how Jenner has completed her sex transition by undergoing a slew of surgeries like tracheal shave to remove the Adam's Apple, nose surgeries, hair removal and facial feminization surgery that involves corrections to the hairline, forehead, jaw and chin, Reuters reported. The star has reportedly not yet opted for sex reassignment surgery.
