Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg paid tribute to her late husband SurveyMonkey Chief Executive Dave Sandberg in the online social networking site as the traditional Jewish 30-day period mourning for a spouse called sheloshim ended on June 3, Wednesday.

Sheryl, the second most powerful Facebook boss next to Mark Zuckerberg, said in a 1,731-word Facebook post that she was talking to one of her friends about "a father-child activity that Dave is not here to do" when they came up with a plan to fill in for her late husband.

"I cried to him, 'But I want Dave. I want option A,'" Sheryl wrote. "He put his arm around me and said, 'Option A is not available. So let's just kick the s**t out of option B.' Dave, to honor your memory and raise your children as they deserve to be raised, I promise to do all I can to kick the s**t out of option B."

Sheryl said that even though sheloshim has ended, she still mourns for the loss of her husband and she will always mourn for it. She went on to quote "California (There Is No End To Love)" with the lyrics "there is no end to grief" and "there is no end to love" before saying, "I love you, Dave."

"California (There Is No End To Love)" is a song by the U2 band composed of drummer and percussionist Larry Mullen Jr., bass guitarist Adam Clayton, guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist The Edge and vocalist and guitarist Bono, who sang  at Goldberg's Silicon Valley memorial service in May, Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, on June 1, Monday, about 100 protesters who go by a name that is not necessarily reflected on a Social Security card or tax return gathered outside the Facebook headquarters in Silicon Valley, Calif., Huffington Post reported.
