"Trainwreck" star Amy Schumer recently explained her famous Kim Kardashian-Kanye West red carpet prank and how she managed to make North West's father smile, which is a rare Hollywood phenomenon.
During her recent guest appearance on "The Graham Norton Show," Schumer said she did the red carpet prank because she thinks falling is the funniest thing, so she just took a dive in front of the Kimye couple.
When the audience gave her a round of applause, Schumer said, "Thank you, I'm doing the God's work."
According to Schumer, Kanye did not the red carpet prank funny at all at first until she had a conversation with Kardashian at the Time 100 Gala. She explained, "He did not crack a smile at any point and I talked to them after and I said to Kim, 'You and your sisters are so inspiring. Are you hiring at Dash?'
"Kanye was smiling at me like almost as if you program a robot to smile," Schumer said about the feat being one of the very few people who were able to make Rihanna and Paul McCartney's "FourFiveSeconds" collaborator smile.
Still, Schumer was modest about her encounter with the Kimye couple saying, "There's no way that any of them have any idea who I am."
Hitting theaters in the United States on July 17, "Trainwreck" stars Schumer opposite Bill Hader. It was written by Schumer and was directed by Judd Apatow. Joining Schumer and Hader in the cast are John Cena, Brie Larson, Josh Segarra, Ryan Farrell and Tilda Swinton, among others.
