"Prison Break" season 5 may be in the works. Six years after "Prison Break" season 4 ended, Dominic Purcell, 45, took to Instagram to hint on the upcoming reboot of the Fox serial drama saying he and his co-star Wentworth Miller, 43, are excited about it.
On June 6, Saturday, Purcell posted a photo of himself and Miller with a caption, "#prisonbreak remake is going to be massive. WENTWORTH and I are super pumped for it."
"It's been a long time coming im just stoked that we and #twentiethcenturyfox are giving this #iconic show another chance to entertain all the fans," Purcell continued. "Much love. Dom xx. Oh excuse my ridiculous pose here I have no clue what I was thinking. A model I am not. Bah!!!!!!!"
Before Purcell hinted at a possible "Prison Break" season 5, TV Line reported that Fox is developing a limited-series reboot of the drama series that ran from 2005 to 2009 and it would reunite Purcell and Miller.
While the details of the "Prison Break" reboot are still unclear, it is said to be similar to the TV series "24: Live Another Day" in 2014.
In other news, a real-life story of prison break made headlines after two convicted murderers escaped from a maximum-security prison in New York near the Canadian border on June 6, Saturday. The two escapees even left behind a note saying, "Have a nice day," Chicago Tribune reported.
The New York prison escapees cut through steel using power tools and shimmied through a steam pipe. Following their escape, the upstate prison had hundreds of law enforcement officers searching for them through the night.
