The live-action adaptation of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" will stick with the musicality of its animated counterpart.
Disney composer Alan Menken and Tim Rice have revealed that they have made three new songs for the upcoming film, as per Stitch Kingdom. Menken scored the 1991 animated film as part of his legacy in the realm of music.
Menken has announced two of the three songs. The first is "Forever More," which was written to replace "If I Can't Love Her." The music artist explained that the latter song will not fit in the upcoming film as Beast will be having a later moment in the movie.
The other song is entitled "Days in the Sun," which was described by Menken as a lullaby. The song will be sung by the charmed objects in Beast's castle and it is about recalling how they lived before the spell.
Menken did not mention the third song, so fans have to wait for further updates. Also, the musician said that the forthcoming film will include new versions of songs from the classic animated film, which include "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast."
With the new songs made for the upcoming film, fans can also assume some changes from the original story, as per Cinema Blend. Aside from "Beauty and the Beast," other Disney films that will have a live-action remake include "Dumbo," "The Jungle Book," "Winnie the Pooh," "Peter Pan," and "Mulan."
"Beauty and the Beast" stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Josh Gad, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Emma Thompson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, and Audra McDonald.
Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" live-action remake is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on March 17, 2017.
