Recent leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus claim that the device will be launched along with the Samsung's flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 5. While Samsung has yet to confirm the Galaxy S6 Plus and Galaxy Note 5 release date, rumors claim that it might be sooner than expected.

The Galaxy Note 5 is one of the most anticipated device from Samsung. However, recent rumors claim that the Galaxy Note 5 will be launched along with the Galaxy S6 Plus, according to Value Walk. Some rumors even claim that the Galaxy S6 Plus will be released much sooner than the Galaxy Note 5, if not together.

Rumors about the upcoming Galaxy S6 Plus became stronger after a leaked photograph of the device began spreading on several tech forums and blogging sites. The Galaxy S6 Plus is considered as the successor of the Galaxy Note Edge which was released in 2014.

Just like the Galaxy Note Edge, the Galaxy S6 Plus will also sport a curved screen. Leaked photographs of the Galaxy S6 Plus shows a device with two curved edges on a 5.5-inch display. The Galaxy S6 Plus is part of Samsung's Project Zen which was recently renamed to Project Zero.

According to Digital Trends, the Galaxy S6 Plus will have a Super AMOLED display with the same or even better resolution compared to the Galaxy S6. The Snapdragon 808 processor from Qualcomm is favored to be the device's processor with 32 gigabyte of internal storage. MicroSD support for additional storage option has not been confirmed yet.

Perhaps the most notable upgrade of the Galaxy S6 Plus is its camera. Speculations are pointing for a 16 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to be the company's first ever mobile device to support 2K or 4K resolution. The phablet will have a stylus and is expected to have a 5.7-inch display. Rumors claim that Samsung will ditch the Qualcomm processors in favor of own Eynos chip with speculations pointing to either the Exynos 7422 or the Exynos 7430.
