Attack on Titan, also known as Shingeki No Kyojin in Japan, continues to gain strong following in the United States since it hit the stands of the New York Times few years ago. After topping the chart in several occasions, Vol. 1 of the popular post-Apocalyptic manga series has reached its 100th week on NY Times Manga best sellers list.

The story of protagonists Eren Jaeger, Mikas Ackerman, Armin Alert and the Survey Corps as they battle against the sadistic giants along with the corruption inside the walled city remains a big hit among American manga readers.

Buoyed by North American debut of Attack on Titans anime series, Hajime Isayama's masterpiece lorded on top of the NY Times manga best sellers chart in the late quarter of 2013 and it has been a regular fixture in the top 10 list up to now.

"Humanity might be in danger of extinction in Attack on Titan, but the series itself doesn't seem to be falling any time soon. Bouncing up and down the New York Time's manga best sellers list, down from #4 to #6 in the week of June 14th, the debut volume of Hajime Isayama's manga has now clocked in at 100 weeks among the top domestic releases," according to Crunchy Roll writer Scott Green.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past gained the no.1 spot for this week and is now four weeks on the list, Trinity Seven Vol. 1, Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in A Dungeon Vol 1, Sword Art Online, High School DXD comprise the top-5 (in order), while AOT placed at no.6.

Attack on Titan manga series is already in its 17th volume with the 70th chapter scheduled to be released this week.  Its anime series will make its North American TV return next year following the massive success of Season 1.
