Justin Verlander Unleashes Funny Self, Lip-Synchs for Kate Upton in Celebration of National Best Friends Day

Justin Verlander lip-synches for girlfriend Kate Upton using the app Dunsmash, as they celebrate in advance National Best Friends Day in the US.

Sports Illustrated model & actress Kate Upton recently tweeted an amusing video of her boyfriend, American baseball pitcher Justin Verlander, lip-synching Bonnie Tyler's hit song of the '80s. The video clip was also posted by Verlander via Instagram. The couple was marking "National Best Friends Day" a few days in advance.

Upton used the app Dubsmash to record Verlander video singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart."  The voluptuous model mentioned that it was a post of her bestie doing something awesome.

The Detroit Tigers pitcher has been on the road to recovery after sustaining an injury to his triceps. Verlander was put on the disabled category in late March. His sexy girlfriend, who turns 23 this June 10, has been keeping him company.

Upton has been linked to dance dynamo Maksim Chmerkovskiy. "The Other Woman" actress will also star in the film "The Layover" with "Glee" star Lea Michele. They play best friends who take a vacation but things do not go as planned.

Verlander has recently taken to social media to address comments and gripes of fans that he seems to be devoting much more time with Upton than to getting back in shape. Verlander quipped that he has undergone rehabilitation to the hilt and biding his time to allow his body to heal.

Dubsmash has gained immense popularity worldwide. It is an easy way to share videos to friends using leading social networking sites like Facebook or simply save them on their phones. Besides Upton and Verlander, other popular celebrities who have used dubsmash include Cristy Teigen who has a rendition of "All of Me" on YouTube, Adam Levine, Khloe Kardashian, Rihanna, and other Hollywood A-listers.
