With just three months to the “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” release, Sony has announced a limited edition of themed PlayStation 4 bundle to land in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on Sep. 1.
The bundle will feature a limited edition 500GB PlayStation4 consoles, Dual Shock 4 controller and the Day One Edition of “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” game with bonus downloadable content, according to Sony.
The “Metal Gear Solid” themed PS4 will be a two-tone console with deep red color on the top half of the console with black bottom, and a gold line detail, inspired by Snake’s bionic arm. The DS4 is said to carry the Diamond Dogs logo - the private military company led by Snake and will come in a metallic grey color, to resemble Snake’s handgun.
Apart from the limited edition themed bundle, the company will also have another “The Phantom Pain” bundle available, which packs a Jet Black PlayStation 4 and Dual Shock 4 controller, along with Day One Edition of the game.
The bundles will be available on the same day when the “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” releases as a standalone game for the current generation consoles - PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the last generation consoles - PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, on Sep. 1, across Australia, Europe and New Zealand.
There is no official word about the price details of both the bundles or about the release in other regions.
A Sony Computer Entertainment America’s representative has said that Sony has “nothing to announce” related to the bundle release in North America, when approached by Polygon.
