"The Flash" stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell recently explained why they think their characters as Captain Cold and Heatwave were included in "Legends of Tomorrow."
In an interview with IGN, Miller and Purcell both said that they were not surprised when they were told that their characters will team up with superheroes in "Legends of Tomorrow," despite the fact that they are well-known baddies in "The Flash."
According to Miller, it was not a surprise for him because he knows that Captain Cold or Leonard Snart has a really good heart. The actor added that this was specifically shown when Leonard interacted with his sister Lisa or Golden Glider (Peyton List).
In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, Miller also said that he is positive his character could now change for the better, especially since he will be working with superheroes in "Legends of Tomorrow."
The actor is also positive that the superheroes will be influencing and encouraging him to become a man and not just a villain.
Meanwhile, Purcell, who plays the role of Heatwave or Mick Rory, said that although his character and Miller's character are classified as villains, he believes that both personas are also wise, charismatic and interesting as Superman or Spider-Man.
Purcell also said that he believes adding Heatwave and Captain Cold to "Legends of Tomorrow" is a good because with every good comes evil and every superhero story needs a villain.
The production for "Legends of Tomorrow" will start August and the new series will air this coming January.
