‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Finale: Fans Await ‘Extreme’ Sand Snakes In Last Episode

Co-executive producer George R.R. Martin arrives for the season premiere of HBO's "Game of Thrones" in San Francisco, California March 23, 2015.

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 is about to deliver something "extreme" featuring the Sand Snakes, actress Jessica Henwick revealed.

In Episode 9 ("The Dance of Dragons"), Ellaria (Indira Varma) and the Sand Snakes all hear from Prince Doran (Alexander Siddig) that there is no mercy for a third offence.

Seeing things could not easily go their way, Ellaria tearfully submits herself to the prince's will. Many of those who read George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" were unhappy about this television version. But Henwick's recent teaser gives hope.

Henwick's teaser is a welcome news for many fans who have been waiting to see bigger action featuring the fierce daughters of The Viper. Seeing Tyene Sand (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) nearly kill Bronn (Jerome Flynn) with poison is not enough for those who have read the Sand Snakes in the book series.

"Episode 10 sets the rest of ["Game of Thrones"] on a very certain path. It's a big move in Game of Thrones, and the Sand Snakes are a part of it," Henwick told Yahoo Singapore, noting that her character is part of something "extreme" in the Season 5 finale.

Henwick, who plays Nymeria Sand a.k.a. Nym may have also implied that the Sand Snakes are going to be bigger players in "Game of Thrones" Season 6. The brief scene featuring the slower Tyene and cocky Nym could also be a clue on what happens next.

Meanwhile, Vanity Fair is speculating that showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff may have a surprise for the viewers. According to Vanity Fair, Arianne Martell might have a powerful introduction in the finale. It is also possible that the Sand Snakes would unleash their fury on the Lannisters in their home -- Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) or Myrcella (Aimee Richardson)?
