It has been confirmed that Gotenks will be part of "Dragon Ball Super" cast. Produced by Toei Animation, the anime television series will premiere on July 5 on Fuji TV in Japan. The series' trailer translated in English has also been released online.
Through the Fusion Dance, Gotenks is the greatly powerful result of Goten and Trunks. He is the first successful fusion dance character to be featured in the "Dragon Ball" series.
Gotenks being part of "Dragon Ball Super" cast was confirmed by some mini dialogue in the weekly magazine Shonen Jump by Masako Nozawa, the Japanese voice actress for Goku, Goten, and Gohan.
In the dialogue, Goku says, "Hi! I'm really happy to see you all!"
Gohan replies, "Dad, it's really great to all," while Goten says, "Wow, we will still be able to merge a lot of times with Trunks."
Goku then says, "Friends, you should definitely look at us!"
The first "Dragon Ball" anime produced in 18 years, "Dragon Ball Super" features a plot set after Goku defeated Majin Boo and peace on Earth was restored again. Its story will be handled by "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama, according to Kotaku.
Titled "Dragon Ball Chou" in Japanese, the "Dragon Ball Super" series is directed by directed by Kimitoshi Chioka. Its opening theme song "Chozetsu Dynamic!!" was performed by Kazuya Yoshii.
