"Mistresses" season 3 episode 1 titled "Gone Girl" will air on July 18, Thursday, on ABC. Picking up from where season 2 finale left off, Josslyn Carver (Jes Macallan) and Harry Davis (Brett Rucker) are kissing on the beach when Karen Kim's (Yunjin Kim) call interrupts.

(SPOILER ALERT: Read at your own risk.)

After Karen delivers some bad news to Joss, the latter races to be with Scott Trossman (Justin Hartley). Prior to this, the bride-to-be and Harry confessed their true feelings and made out on the beach.

On the other hand, Scott is invited by his half-sister April Malloy (Rochelle Aytes) and his aunt and they arrive with Uncle Mark (Rob Mayes) in town.

Having made a return visit to her doctor Alex (Shannyn Sossamon), Karen will find out that her life will be changed in a very dramatic way by the results of her blood test. Arriving on the scene is fashion designer Calista Raines (Jennifer Esposito) with determination to get what she wants, according to TV Equals.

Also in "Mistresses" season 3 cast are Alyssa Milano as Savannah ("Savi") Davis, Erik Stocklin as Sam Grey and Jason George as Dominic Taylor, among others. The first two episodes of the third season, "Gone Girl" and "I'll Be Watching You" are directed by Gus Makris.

According to "Mistresses" showrunner Rina Mimoun, the chaste season 3 premiere episode was a bit of a risk but she trusted the audience would know that the ladies in the show can only swear off men for so long.

"We've got a lot of abs, and we've got to show them," Mimoun added, as TV Line quoted her saying. "Eventually clothes will have to come off."

Mimoun's fellow "Mistresses" showrunner K.J. Steinberg also said that everything the character Karen went through, "the fact that she's looking to something greater and searching for a deeper meaning," naturally led them to religion.
