Currently, Sony has three flagship smartphones aimed at different markets. The Sony Xperia Z4 is targeted towards the home country of Japan. The Sony Xperia Z3+ is for the international markets. The recently unveiled Sony Xperia Z4v is an exclusive smartphone for Verizon customers in the United States.

The Differences
Form Factor
The Verizon powered Sony Xperia Z4v has a thickness of 8.6 mm. The Xperia Z4 and the Xperia Z3+ with a slim profile of 6.9 mm are thinner than the Verizon model. In the same way, the Xperia Z3v is heavier with a weight of 160 g than the Xperia Z3+ and Z4 that weigh 144 g, Phone Arena reported.
Color Variants
The Xperia Z3+ comes in color options like black, white, copper and aqua green. The Xperia Z3v is available in black and white colors only, Android Central reported.
Display
The Verizon Xperia Z4v with a support for Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels on its 5.2-inch screen is the first ever smartphone from the Japanese tech giant to come with Quad HD screen. The Xperia Z4 and the Xperia Z3+ come with full HD display.
The pixel density offered by Xperia Z4v is 564 ppi whereas the pixel count on the other flagship is 424 ppi. Also, the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ have a screen-to-body ratio of 70.88 percent while the Verizon flagship offers 71.25 percent.
Battery
The smaller factor of Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 allows both the devices to feature a 2,930 mAh battery. On the other hand, the Verizon model is equipped with a larger battery of 3,000 mAh. Moreover, manufacturers have added support for Qi wireless charging on Xperia Z4v, a feature that is absent on Z4 and Z3+.
The Similarities
Processor, RAM And Storage
The three Xperia phones have the same Snapdragon 810 SoC supported by 3 GB of RAM under the hood. All three offer the same native storage of 32 GB and the external storage can support a microSD of up to 128 GB capacity.
Camera And IP (Ingress Protection) Rating
All the three handsets feature 20.7 MP rear camera and a selfie snapper of 5 MP. The IP65 and IP68 rating confirms that all three devices are resistant to dust, water and shock.
