The Google Nexus 5 2015 is expected to have LG and Huawei versions.

Google Nexus 5 2015 release date is drawing near and hype has fallen on the upcoming smartphone also known as the Nexus 5 2nd Generation after Nexus 6 reportedly was not as successful as expected when it was launched in 2014.

Google is set to launch two Nexus devices in October or November. One of the devices codename LG Bullhead is made by LG and is said to be called Nexus 5 2015. The other one, which is said to be the Nexus 6 successor, is codenamed Huawei Angler and is made by Huawei.

It appears that Google has learned its lesson from the fiasco of the Nexus 6, the current flagship device of the search giant. Also, most smartphone makers increase the screen size of their flagship devices by 0.2 to 1 inch, like the case of the Nexus 6, so the leap from 5-inch display to 6-inch is quite huge.

Sporting a 5-inch display, the Nexus 5 did very well when it comes to sales before it was discontinued without any price cut. This was after almost one and a half year of going strong in the market.

Both the Nexus 5 2015 and Nexus 6 successor are expected to have Android M, the upcoming operating system of Google.

The Nexus 5 2015 will feature a 2700 mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor while the Nexus 6 successor is expected to have a 3500mAh battery, Snapdragon 810 processor and a 5.7-inch OLED screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels, according to Mobi Picker.

On the other hand, according to Donklephant, the Nexus 6 successor will have a 6-inch AMOLED display from Samsung that offers the increased resolution of 1440x2560pixels at 493ppi.
