The Google Nexus 5 2015 is expected to have LG and Huawei versions.

The Google Nexus 5 2015 release date is yet to be confirmed although the smartphone is expected to be launched in October or November while more and more rumors claim that Google will partner with LG and Huawei.

So far, what has been confirmed is the joint launch of the new Nexus and Android M, a source told Geek Snack. However, whether or not the new Nexus is the much awaited Google Nexus 5 2015 smartphone.

With high expectations on the new Nexus 5 2015 and polarized reviews of the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9, Google is still mum about the new smartphone, which will be the flagship device to boast Android M. Some believe that the M in the Android M stands for Macadamia, Marshmallow or Muffin.

Android fans had a better understanding of what Android M or Android 6.0 may be like during Google I/O 2015. Afterwards, the news the development stage of Android M instantly sparked rumors about the final OS and how it will be introduced.

There are still several months to go until Google reveals its latest and greatest hardware and more and more rumors claim that it is possibly in partnership with LG and Huawei. However, official details about the possible collaboration are still not available.

In general, an Android Operating System update and a new Google Nexus phone go together. Since Google owns Android, those who love Android expect the latest and the greatest version of the OS and the newest smartphone from Google.

It is still possible that the newest Google smartphone will be a new Nexus 6, Nexus 7 or Nexus 9 although it is generally expected to be the new Google Nexus 5 2015 made by Huawei. Some also expect it to be called Nexus 5 2nd Gen or Nexus 5S.
