'Married At First Sight' Season 3 Cancelled Following Jessica And Ryan D's Divorce, Controversy?

"Married at First Sight" season 3 is reportedly just got cancelled. Following the highly controversial split of season 2 couples, Davina and Sean, Jaclyn and Ryan R, Jessica and Ryan D, the network was having second thoughts of renewing the series.

According to the Gospel Herald, the fate of "Married at First Sight" season 3 is still hanging by a thread. The publication speculated that the recent controversy surrounding Jessica and Ryan has thrown the producers off.

Jessica and Ryan's impending divorce came as a shock to the avid viewers of "Married at First Sight." In the season 2 finale, the couple decided to stay together and try to make their relationship work. That is why it came as a surprise to several fans when Jessica filed for a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband. The reality star claimed that he threatened to kill her and her family after she found out that he has been cheating on her.

It was said that the show followed the footsteps of other reality TV series that got cancelled because of huge scandals such as "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and "19 Kids and Counting."

When Will TV also predicted that the A&E series will also get cancelled. When asked about what fans could expect for the upcoming season, the show runners only shared that they were still "actively looking" for applicants who were willing to go through the social experiment. The release date, however, is yet to be confirmed.
