Captain America: Civil War

"Captain America: Civil War" will officially introduce a new character named Black Panther. However, fans are wondering why Kevin Feige decided to feature the superhero now instead of during his standalone film in 2018.

Just recently, Feige opened up about his decision to include Black Panther in "Captain America: Civil War." In an interview with Birth Movies Death, Black Panther will be introduced in the film because it needs a third party. Feige added that the film needs fresh eyes or a new character that is not connected with the Avengers, more specifically with Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.

However, Black Panther's powers will not be unveiled completely in the film because this will be done in his standalone movie, slated for release in 2018. In "Captain America: Civil War," Black Panther will be featured taking over the mantel from his father when the Civil War starts to take place, according to Enstarz.

Feige added that Black Panther and his father will discuss about what they can do to help their people during the Civil War. This is where the father-son tandem will decide for the latter to take on the mantle and the responsibility of protecting the rest of the world.

As of late, not a lot of details about Black Panther's standalone film has been released yet, but fans already know that the superhero's powers will come full swing then.

"Captain America: Civil War" stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and more. The film will be released in the United States on May 6, 2016.
