Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release may happen soon as the company rolls out the 4G LTE-enabled Surface 3 tablet is now rolled out to business customers.
After releasing a new variant of Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with i7 processor, the tech company is now set to release a new Surface 3 tablet equipped with 4G LTE capability to business customers first followed by consumers, according to Surface Blog.
The said Surface 3 tablet is already available in Japan through Y! Mobile, but the device will be widely available to business customers through the first partner operators starting today in Germany and the United Kingdom, and later, in France and Spain.
The release of revamped tablets dampens the possibility of Surface Pro 4 release. Microsoft has not confirmed the existence of the follow-up tablet to Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Meanwhile, some of the purported features of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 are: 12-inch screen display with 2K pixel resolution, Intel Skylake processor, stylus, and USB Type-C port. Just like the previous Microsoft Surface Pro 3, the device will sport a keyboard accessory that will transform the device into an ultra-portable laptop. Moreover, the Redmond-based tech giant previously indicated that it would ensure compatibility of accessories like its Type Cover 3 and Docking Station with future generations of the Pro.
However, this should be taken as a grain of salt as Microsoft, under its new leadership, will undergo changes. Geek Wire got hold of the letter and posted some parts of it. Specifically, it stated, "We will need to innovate in new areas, execute against our plans, make some tough choices in areas where things are not working and solve hard problems in ways that drive customer value."
