Google Nexus 5 (2015) Release Date Sooner; LG To Build Next Nexus Smartphone Not Based On LG G4: Report

The Google Nexus 5 2015 is expected to have LG and Huawei versions.

The Google's Nexus 5 (2015) release date may be sooner as expected with more discounts on Nexus 6 from Motorola and BestBuy. Google has already discounted the smartphone but both Motorola and BestBuy even made it $150 cheaper.

Released back in the fall of 2014, the Nexus 6 smartphone also got such huge discounts previously. It is not known how long the current discount will last but whenever a device gets huge discounts, it may indicate that a new model is about to end, according to UK Marketing News.

Offering such discounts is one of the ways to exhaust the remaining inventory of the smartphones and maximize the profit. Many customers decided to stick with their Nexus 5 smartphones mostly because of the screen that is 1 inch bigger than that of the Nexus 6 device, which the customers did not receive pretty well.

Google seemed to be avoiding the same mistakes with the Nexus 6 smartphone. While the Google Nexus 5 (2015) release date is impending, South Korean-based LG confirmed that they are currently working on the much-anticipated Nexus device.

The design of the Google Nexus 5 (2015) smartphone will be innovative as it will be based neither on the previous Nexus 5 device nor on the company's current flagship LG G4, according to Android Pit.

A source told the publication that the Google Nexus 5 (2015) will be based on an unreleased prototype. It is also said that LG will built the upcoming Nexus smartphone with a smaller screen.
