Big Sean's ex-grilfriend Ariana Grande, 22, has released a statement to apologize and explain the controversial video recently released showing her saying things against America and Americans and licking donuts inside Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, Calif.
In the statement released to Fox News, Grande said she is extremely proud to be an American and she has always made it clear that she loves her county. She explained, "What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words."
According to Grande, it is frustrating to see how Americans freely "eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health" and the donuts she licked inside Wolfee Donuts reminded her that the United States has the world's highest child obesity rate.
On the other hand, she admitted that she should have "known better" in how she expressed herself" but pointed out that there is a need to "do more to educate ourselves and our children about the dangers of overeating and the poison that we put into our bodies."
On July 7, Tuesday, a video was released by TMZ showing Grande sharing a kiss with her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, who also happens to be one of her backup dancers. The video was taken by the security cam in Wolfee Donuts.
Sources told the publication that the incident took place on July 4 when Grande and Alvarez decided to play truth or dare with the powdered jelly donuts on the counter daring each other to lick the goods.
