Sony Xperia Z5 is rumored to be the company's first smartphone to showcase a fingerprint scanner. The phone will be line with iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 in terms of the scanner feature. The Sony Xperia Z5 is expected to be released before the end of the year.
It is rumored that Sony will market three smartphones aimed to be released before the end of the year. These are the Xperia 5, Xperia Z5 Ultra and Xperia Z5 Compact. According to Technodify, Sony will officially unveil the Xperia Z5 in Japan and make its official international debut at the 2015 IFA conference in Berlin.
Several alleged photos of the Xperia Z5 have surfaced on social networking websites like the China-based Weibo. Sony has yet to release the official specs list for the smartphone but many tech analysts suggest that the smartphone is more likely to sport a 5.2-inch screen or bigger.
According to Tech Times, the smartphone will have a Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm which is also at the heart of the highly-anticipated Xiaomi Mi5.
The Sony Xperia Z5 will have a built-in 4GB of RAM and a microSD slot for storage expansion. It is rumored that the smartphone will have a 4500 mAH battery which has more power compared to the LG G4's 3000mAh battery and the Samsung Galaxy S6's 2550mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia Z5 is expected to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with future support for the upcoming Android M once it is released.
Camera-wise, the Xperia Z5 will have a powerful 21-megapixel primary camera with autofocus, LED flash as well as 4K video recording capabilities.
Expectations are high for the Sony Xperia Z5 especially after the lackluster critical reception of for the Xperia Z4.
