'Deadpool': Ryan Reynolds Says 'Deadpool’s’ Costume Is Much Better Than 'Green Lantern's'

Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern and Deadpool

Tim Miller's "Deadpool" film is hitting the big screen next year and recently, Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds has said that Wade Wilson's iconic red and black suit is much better than his Hal Jordan's green costume.

In Reynolds' interview with Screen Rant, the actor said that his suit in Martin Campbell's "Green Lantern" in 2011 was purely motion capture. This is associated to the fact that Jordan's Green Lantern suit is based on energy and was yielded by his power ring. The suit is bound to vanish if the ring is removed or runs out of charge.

Meanwhile, the iconic Deadpool costume is tangible and not computer-generated. Reynolds also told Screen Rant that he and the production team worked with the Make a Wish Foundation and the children from the charity organization would visit the set. Between the Green Lantern and Deadpool suits, these children will be able to appreciate the latter as they can see it.

For Reynolds, he prefers a costume that is real and perceptible at all times, and these descriptions can be found in his red and black Deadpool suit. Also, his costume is notably identical to what Wilson dons in the comics and is more distinct that what he had in Gavin Hood's 2009 film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," according to Cinema Blend.

Along with Reynolds, "Deadpool" stars Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Rachel Sheen, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller, Andre Tricoteux, and Ed Skrein among others.

Miller's "Deadpool" is slated to premiere in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016. Watch a video featuring the first look of Deadpool's costume:
