Gold Cup 2015: United States vs Panama, Preview, Prediction and Predicted Lineup

Team USA's Clint Dempsey

Powerhouse Team USA continues its expected dominance of the 2015 Gold Cup as it faces Panama in the last round of group classifications on Monday.

Jürgen Klinsmann's men are currently unbeaten in the tournament after two straight wins against Honduras and Haiti in Group A. Star forward Clint Dempsey had scored all three goals for the United States as the team actually had not yet shown their true potential so far.

The defending champions' 1-0 victory against Haiti was far from impressive, as reported by Sports Illustrated, although the Americans will still take it than settling for a draw.

The Haitians pulled off a valiant effort, but it was evidently not enough to knock off Team USA as the clear favorites in the competitions.

Meanwhile, Los Canaleros were also not impressive in their consecutive drawn matches versus the same teams.

Hernán Darío Gómez's squad led the game against Los Catrachos almost the whole time and would have won with only a few minutes remaining but gave up a goal in the 81st minute to fall into a tie, as per Yahoo Sports.

It seems impossible for the Panamanians to beat the mighty Stars and Stripes as it would take more than a perfect game from them to pull off an upset.

The prediction is a close but convincing 2-1 win by the US over Panama. Klinsmann will use this match to prepare the Americans for tougher challenges in the quarterfinal round.

United States starting lineup (4-3-1-2 formation): Guzan; Johnson, Alvarado, Brooks, Chandler; Yedlin, Beckerman, Zardes; Bradley; Dempsey, Altidore

Panama starting lineup (4-2-2-2 formation): Penedo; Henríquez, Torres, Cummings, Machado; Godoy, Gómez; Pimentel, Quintero; Tejada, Pérez
