While "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" US release is almost confirmed to take place in October, new previews revealed the protagonist's new skill and villains in the film.

According to Design N Trend, a new video clip of the upcoming film showed Boruto using a skill dubbed as Lightning Blade, which is a skill the character learned from his teacher - Sasuke Uchiha.

Previous reports claimed that Boruto will be Sasuke's student and Sasuke's daughter will either be Boruto's rival and love interest. His teammates will be Sarada and Mitsuki. Boruto will most likely acquire some of Sasuke's powers like fire and lightning techniques. There are rumors that Boruto will also inherit Sasuke's Sharingan eyes.

Boruto is the son of Naruto, who became Konoha's seventh Hokage after winning the fourth Ninja War. Boruto carries this as a burden and has feelings of wanting to surpass his father who is respected as a hero of the village. He will more likely inherit some of Naruto's powers like his father's sage abilities and rasengan chakra molding skills.

Meanwhile, the 33rd issue of Shonen Jump offered the first look on the alleged villains in the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie". Momoshiki and Kinoshiki are teased are members of the Ōtsutsuki clan, just like Princess Kaguya and Hagoromo. The clan aims to steal Kurama from Naruto, according to Crunchyroll.

Several reports claimed that "Boruto: Naruto The Movie" US release will be on Oct. 10, which is Naruto's birthday. The date coincides with the New York Comic Con that will be held on Oct. 8 to 11 at the Javitz Convention Center in Manhattan.
