Marvel recently introduced two new female superheroes, namely, Blade and Squirrel Girl at the San Diego Comic Con on Sunday night.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel confirmed the return of the series "Blade," but it will no longer feature vampire hunter Wesley Snipes as its lead star. Rather, the new lead for the upcoming reboot is Wesley's never-before-seen daughter.

On Sunday, it was confirmed that the new Blade will be Fallon Grey, the daughter of Eric Brooks or the original Blade. At the age of 16, Fallon thinks that she is just like any normal teenager, but throughout the course of the series, she will come to terms with her superpowers. "Blade" is set to launch this coming October.

Meanwhile, Marvel also announced the upcoming audio adaptation of "The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl," off of the "Ms. Marvel" series by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona.

According to Comics Alliance, the new Squirrel Girl will get a new hat. However, other than this minor detail, the character will also face some new enemies. In an interview with the publication, writers Ryan North and Erica Henderson talked about the series.

North revealed that Squirrel Girl will be starting a new year in school and will be fighting against a HYDRA cyborg. There are also speculations that Squirrel Girl will eventually become part of the Avengers and the writers said this is something fans of Marvel need to watch out for in the coming months.

As of late, it is still unclear whether or not the launch of "The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl" will also take place in October.
