Huawei

Google will reportedly produce a phablet-size variant of the Nexus 2015 with Huawei from China as the manufacturer. On release date, which is likely to happen in October or November this year, the supersized pure Android flagship will sell at around $400, a new report said.

A jumbo Nexus that will roll out from Huawei's production lines will likely be based on the device vendor's latest flagship model, the Huawei P8, according to PC Advisor. Once it us out of the box, this bigger Nexus 2015 will have a starting price of £300 or roughly $470.

The report picks up from the latest information shared by Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks, who revealed that there is indeed a Nexus device coming from China. The handset is said to be wrapped in metal and counts the beastly Snapdragon 820 processing chip as main engine.

Among the killer features that will unpack with the vanilla Android device is a sprawling 5.7-inch display that will boast of Quad HD screen, somehow confirming the speculation that Google is challenging the current phablet leaders such as the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 4. And like the 6 Plus, the Huawei Nexus is equipped with a fingerprint reader, Blass said.

The mid-range type

Blass provided his latest revelation as the Android world is expecting two Nexus devices from Google this 2015. One would originate from LG and the company is said to build the handset around the Nexus 5 or its current flagship - the LG G4. The device has a 5.2-inch screen profile and is temporarily nicknamed Nexus Bullhead.

The Huawei Nexus, on the other hand, is codenamed Angler and the specs leaked out about the device so far sync with the information obtained by @evleaks. It is believed that Angler is designed as the mid-range counterpart of the LG Nexus, which is thought to be geared as the chief iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6 rival.

Snapdragon 820

But Blass saying that Snapdragon 820 will power the Huawei Nexus is intriguing as it implies that the device packs quite a power. In recent report, it was suggested that the Nexus 2015 processing chip scored 85,000 on an AnTuTu test that many assumed it will be issued with the Snapdragon 820 chip.

Having a powerful chip hardly qualifies the Huawei Nexus as a mid-range gadget though it is possible that Google has elected to use identical application processors for its two hero phones. That means the LG Nexus and Huawei Nexus will touchdown mightily in Snapdragon 820.

The latest tweet from @evleaks echoed earlier reports that the Google Nexus 2015 release date is anytime within the fourth quarter of the year. Normally, the device makes a landing during the start of the year's holiday season or between late October or early November.
