LG G4

Monster phone the Google Nexus 2015 is on release date and the latest rumor suggests that the LG variant is powerful and fast thanks to the high-end components stuffed inside of the device. And the kit will be built around a new handset called the LG G4 Pro.

Phone Arena picked up a fresh info that says LG will soon release a device that bears model number LGE LG-F600L, which looks like the sequential follow up to the LG G4 that the report noted carries the number F500L. The existence of device F600L is consistent with an earlier hint from the South Korean firm that the G4 will be joined later this year by a second flagship - likely more powerful and more premium than its older sibling.

Previously, this handset is being referred to as the LG G4 Pro, Phone Arena said on its report. Likewise, it is interesting as well that the G4 Pro was once touted as a solid candidate to become the Nexus 2015 or at least one of the handset models that Google will reportedly launch this year.

The G4 Pro excites as it is perceived to fill in whatever were missing with the LG G4. It is believed too that the second LG flagship this 2015 is a significant step up from the first G4, which indicates that the device will more than fulfill the clamor for a souped up Google phone to replace the Nexus 6.

Will the LG G4 Pro fit the bill? Thanks to a recent Geekbench the device appears bursting with sufficient computing muscle courtesy of a 6-core Snapdragon 808 chip that will work in tandem with 4GB of RAM. The specs indicate of 64-bit capabilities that point to fast, snappy and stable performance.

However, the G4 Pro details stopped there for now. The rest is up for guessing.

Now it should be interesting to pit what were spilled so far about the G4 Pro, which Phone Arena said is likely to be repurposed as the Nexus Bullhead that LG will make, against the leaked specs of the Huawei Nexus that came out this week.

Gadget leaker Evan Blass claims that the Nexus Angler will come from China and it will showcase a 5.7-inch screen profile that dwarfs over the Bullhead's 5.2-inch Quad HD display. The Angler's source of power is an 8-core Snapdragon 820 chip, more than enough to fire up the phone's functionalities and among them is fingerprint scanner.

It is obvious that the Angler, provided Blass or @evleaks is correct, will easily overwhelm its LG sibling. This contradicts the earlier assumption that the LG Nexus is the main attraction and will pack more power while the Huawei Nexus is taking on the role as Google's affordable handset.

There are now more questions than answers about the Nexus 2015 but Google should clear up everything on or before the device's release date, which is rumored to happen alongside that of Android M, likely by late September.
