Olivia Munn as Psylocke

With Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" hitting the big screen in 2016, Olivia Munn has said that there is much more to her daring outfit in the upcoming superhero film.

Munn is playing the telepathic mutant Psylocke in Singer's upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse." In her interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress said that she will be wearing the mutant's distinct sexy outfit. While she as Psylocke wears halterneck and thigh-highs, what really matters is the familiarity of fans with her mutant character.

According to Munn, the role she will be playing in "X-Men: Apocalypse" is strong and deadly. She added that her costume will never be an issue as long as she can exhibit those traits in the film.

Munn's costume helps the actress to be acknowledged as the intuitive mutant, as per Cinema Blend. Coupled with her sword dancing skills, purple hair, and telepathic abilities, Psyclocke is assumed as one of the greatest peril to the titular team in the upcoming film.

Created by writer Chris Claremont and illustrator Herb Trimpe, Psylocke is also known as Elizabeth Braddock and Betsy. Together with her expertise in using her hallmark weapon, the katana, Psylocke is also known for her telekinetic and telepathic powers. In addition, the mutant can generate her weapons using psionic forces.

Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is the last movie under the "X-Men: First Class" film series. Along with Munn, "X-Men: Apocalypse" stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Lucas Till, Lara Condor, Ben Hardy, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Rose Byrne, Josh Helman, Evan Peters, and Oscar Isaac, among others.

Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to premiere in theaters on May 27, 2016.
