In the last-aired episode, Avery declares that she is leaving the town. The upcoming segment will see Avery say goodbye to those she has been close to in Genoa City, according to Soap Central and We Love Soaps.

Fans can expect to see an emotional scene between former flames, Dylan and Avery. The end-credit scene of the last-aired episode teased a conversation between the pair. Avery tells Dylan that she is "not coming back." Dylan's reaction to the news remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Phyllis tries to talk to Jack as she looks for some answers. She and Billy pay Jack a visit at the hospital.  "Are you trying to say that Gabriel Bingham isn't your son?" Phyllis asks Jack.

Elsewhere, Victor shocks Adam/Gabriel. Victor tells Adam, who he thinks is Gabriel Bingham, that he sees his son Adam in him. Adam is taken aback.

Speaking about Avery's exit, Jessica Collins shared her thoughts about it in an interview with Soap Opera Digest (via We Love Soaps). The actress was reportedly not very happy with the story of her character Avery.

"I've been disappointed with the story and the direction and integrity of my character for quite some time, but I was still hopeful we might all be able to turn it around," Collins told in the interview.

"Then my contract was up for renewal and I wasn't happy with their offer. I was told there was no room for discussion, which made me realize there wouldn't be much discussion for the character, either," Collins explained.
