Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Divorce Details

Just a day after Country Music's power couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce, cheating rumors have begun swirling prompting family friend of the couple and country singer Chris Young to openly deny his involvement.

With many media outlets naming Young as having an affair with Lambert and the cause for the split, the country singer wasted no time to take to social media to deny any hand in the couple's break up. The singer tweeted that the couple were both his friends and he would not betray their friendship.

The rumour mills in the country music world have been spewing out various claims with media outlets citing sources which allege Shelton had learnt of Lambert being unfaithful with Young. While more recently it is alleged Shelton suspected his wife of going around with another man, who was not in the industry, according to Fox News.

Another theory for the country King and Queen's split as reported in The New York Post suggests Lambert did not want to have children and to be tied down, while Shelton wanted a family much sooner than his wife. Sources told the publication the couples' varying views on starting a family together with little time spent with each other owing to their busy schedules contributed to the split.

The "Sangria" singer filed for divorce two weeks prior to the official announcement in Oklahoma according to documents obtained by media. The documents reveal the divorce was finalised on July 20 and was filed in a different county than the one in which the couple live in.

According to media reports, the couple's assets were quickly squared off owing to the details spelt out in the couple's prenuptial agreement, allowing an Oklahoma judge to speedily sign off on their divorce papers. Lambert will reportedly keep his ranch in Oklahoma while his wife will have their home in Nashville.

The country songstress who is an ardent animal lover is still to decide on who will keep which pet but it is believed the horses gifted to her by her husband will be kept by her while he will still keep his pets.

Fans of the couple have taken to twitter to suggest Shelton's PR Team have been working over time to shift blame on to Lambert who was spotted without her wedding ring while performing in Wyoming recently. She broke down during a performance at Cheyenne Frontier Days while singing a song given to her by her husband, "The House That Built Me."

The country superstars who began dating in 2006 have been plagued with rumours of infidelity for years and many times each has taken to social media to respond humoursly to allegations. Despite the divorce the singers are said to go on with their scheduled performances.

Shelton will next perform in Wisconsin on July 24 at Country Jam while Lambert will take the stage in Nashville on July 28.
