Nintendo Announces Sept. 11 Release Date Of 3 'Super Mario Maker' Anniversary Packs, 8-Bit Amiibo Figurine

Nintendo recently announced that it will release a collectible "Super Mario" amiibo figurine to commemorate the iconic characters 30th anniversary in the video game industry.

The company posted on its official Twitter account, "#SuperMarioMaker launches on 11/09 with three packs to choose from at retail."

As part of the "Super Mario" anniversary, Nintendo Europe will also release the "Super Mario Maker" video game. The game comes in three different packs along with an 8-bit amiibo figurine, according to Tech Times.

The first of the three pack is the "Super Mario Maker" Wii U Premium Pack. This includes a black Wii U Premium console, a physical copy of the "Super Mario Maker" game, a hardcover art book based on the game and a classic colored, brown and red, 8-Bit Mario amiibo.

The second pack is called the Limited Edition. It contains a copy of "Super Mario Maker," the art book, and the 8-bit Mario amiibo in classic color.

Finally, the Standard Edition comes with a copy of "Super Mario Maker" and the hardcover art book.

For "Super Mario" fans who are mainly interested in purchasing the 30th Anniversary amiibo collectible, Nintendo said that the classic colored version of the figurine will be released in Europe on Sept. 11 and in Australia on Sept. 12. The modern colored amiibo figurines, red and blue, will be released in Europe on Oct. 23 and in Australia on Oct. 24.

According to IGN, Nintendo has yet to confirm when the anniversary edition amiibo figurines will be released in the United States.
