2K Sports studio officials said that Hulk Hogan will no longer appear in the "WWE 2K16" version, revealing that professional wrestler made unacceptable racist remarks recorded on an eight-year old tape.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has fired professional wrestler Hulk Hogan on Friday after a sex tape surfaced, containing the wrestler’s alleged racial insults in a conversation, repeatedly used the -word and called himself a "racist". According to the tape, Hogan has made complains as well regarding his daughter, Brooke Hogan, dating a black man, according to Design & Trend.

2K Studio and its partners stand by their decision of removing Hogan and the company respects its partners’ way of running and managing their business and partnership. However, WWE decided to remove Hogan's photos, articles, and merchandise from its website.

The game developer company made no comment if Hogan will be removed as well with the "WWE 2K15" version. Hogan appeared in two different versions in "WWE 2K15". A representative from 2K Sports said that it is a fair question of knowing if Hogan will be from previous video games, but chose not to explain further at this moment. The company has a goal of embracing and celebrating individuals from different background and maintain diversity among its employees, performers and fans around the world, Gamespot reported.

Hogan made a statement and apologized for his behavior; saying that it was unacceptable to use such offensive language and that there is no excuse about that racist behavior. David Houston, Hogan’s lawyer, decided to resign contradicting the reports that he was fired.

Commodore 64 game MicroLeague Wrestling in 1987 was the first game appearance of Hogan, but he’s well known to be the covered star of the first officially licensed WWF game in 1989.
