Fresh renders of Lumia 950 XL have surfaced on the basis of the purported specifications and features.
The purported specifications, features and design of the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL flagships were recently revealed. Now, realistic renders of the Lumia 950 XL by Windows Central. It shows the Lumia 950 XL flagship in three color options like black, white and blue. Speculations are rife that the handset will sport a very slim polycarbonate chassis measuring about 7 to 8 mm.
All the buttons placed on the edges on the device such as volume controllers and camera launcher key. It will not be featuring capacitive buttons, but it will arrive with on-screen buttons for Back, Home and Search.
The rumored specs of the Lumia 950 XL Cityman flagship include 5.7 inches of Quad HD resolution display. Microsoft is speculated to use the improve version of the Snapdragon 810 chipset that will not encounter frequent overheating issues. It will be complemented by 3 GB of RAM.
The high-end Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will be fitted with PureView technology powered 20 MP camera on its back. Some of the other advanced features of the handset include iris scanner, optional Surface Pen stylus, USB Type-C connector and wireless charging for its 3,300 mAh removable battery.
After the release of Lumia 930 in the second quarter of 2014, Microsoft has not unveiled flagship handset. The company has mainly focused on increasing its market share in low and midrange devices by releasing handsets like the Lumia 640, the Lumia 640 XL, the Lumia 535, and the Lumia 435.
The Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft, Terry Myerson has proclaimed that it will be soon unveiling premium Lumia handsets, GSM Arena reported. Since the Redmond giant will be making its appearance at the upcoming IFA 2015 tech show on Sept. 4, speculations are indicating that the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagships will be announced on that day.
