Several photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 have surfaced before its August release revealing the phablet from all sides.
Nilkin, a Chinese company that manufactures smartphone cases, has revealed many photos of the Galaxy Note 5 wearing a protective plastic cover, Sam Mobile reported. The images clearly show that it will be coming with a metal frame. Its rear and the front are flanked with glass.
The bottom side of the Galaxy Note 5 features a microUSB port, 3.5 mm headphone jack, single mono speaker grille and S-Pen stylus. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is dubbed as a bigger version of the Galaxy S6.
Recently, the Galaxy Note 5 was spotted running the CPU-Z benchmark app. Its screenshot show a handset with the model number of SM-N920F. featuring a 5.7-inch Quad HD display.
It shows that the handset is powered by the Exynos 7422 chipset. The new chipset is said to be an upgraded version of the Exynos 7420 SoC that powers up the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
The new SoC of the Note 5 is supported by 4 GB of RAM. The device will feature an inbuilt storage of 32 GB. As of this writing, there is no confirmation on the existence of microSD card slot on the device. The device will come preinstalled with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and TouchWiz UI, GSM Arena reported.
Other specs include 16 MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization and 4,100 mAh battery. It is expected to come out in a new gold color variant.
Samsung has officially declared that it will be holding the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event on Aug. 13. Speculations are rife that the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are going to be revealed at the unveil event. Both the handsets are expected to be released on Aug. 21.
