This device is expected to be released with a retail price tag of only $899, making it the cheapest MacBook Air till date, according to The Master Herald. This might be a very important USP for this device, generating more revenue than any earlier (expensive) MacBook Air.
The device is expected to sport a slimmer and a lighter design along with Retina Display screen and also USB Type-C port, according to The Mac World. In addition, it is also rumored to provide a 178 degree view, which will enable the screen have a richer and a more colorful output in front of the users. The device may be available in two variants; a 13-inch model and a 15 inch model.
Apple MacBook Air 2016 will most probably go head on with Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is a "laplet." Both the devices might even get a similar release date and will offer portability to a great extent.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4, however, is priced at a much higher rate than MacBook Air 2016, which may be a dettertant to the Microsoft fans. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will also be available in two variants, one will be 12 inches and the other will be 14 inches.
